PESHAWAR: Taking notice of financial issues being faced by Medical Teaching Institutions (MTIs) in the province, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa caretaker Chief Minister Muhammad Azam Khan
ordered funds allocation for these hospitals on an urgent basis.
He issued these orders to his advisor on health, Dr Riaz Anwar, and Chief Secretary Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry during a meeting at the Chief Minister's House on Friday.
Expressing his concerns, the chief minister ordered that all emergency services at MTIs must remain unaffected at these medical institutions.
At the meeting that discussed the financial difficulties faced by the MTIs, the Chief Minister affirmed that providing continuous and unhindered healthcare services to the public is the topmost priority of the caretaker provincial government.
