Two-day Health Asia show begins today

KARACHI: The 21st edition of Health Asia to be attended by 500 exhibitors will take place from October 17 to 19 at the Expo Centre, Karachi, with Provincial Health Minister Dr. Azra Pehchoo as the chief guest.

The event will include seminars on crucial healthcare topics such as chronic diseases, safe blood transfusion, cardiac surgery, medical tourism, pharmaceutical marketing, and medical devices.

A dedicated section for dental health professionals, "Dentech Asia," will also feature as part of the event.

Project Director Farhan Anis says Health Asia serves as a vital platform for policymakers, health experts, and stakeholders to enhance healthcare standards, tackle key issues, and chart a course for better patient care.

The annual event brings together stakeholders from the healthcare and wellness sectors for discussions led by industry experts.

A major highlight this year is the introduction of the "Inward Medical Tourism" initiative, which will be discussed at the Future Hospital Conference. This concept aims to attract foreign revenue to Pakistan and promote private sector investment in high-quality healthcare facilities.

The three-day exhibition will host over 20 conferences and seminars featuring local and international medical experts who will share insights on the latest procedures.

More than 500 exhibitors, including foreign delegates from various countries, are expected, with an estimated 50,000 visitors likely to attend the exhibition.
