Larkana- Nimrita Kumari, a final year BDS student of Bibi Aseefa Dental College (SMBBMU), was allegedly found dead, hanging from a ceiling fan in her hostel room in Chandka Medical College, Larkana.
The girl’s parents that are residents of Karachi were informed immediately.
SMBBMU Vice-Chancellor, Aneela Atta-ur-Rahman, said that they had found a bruise around the girl’s neck which confirmed suicide by hanging. An inquiry committee is going to be formed under the supervision of SSP to probe the grave matter of Nimrita’s alleged suicide, she added.
Principals of the medical and dental colleges, registrar, the hostel warden and all other relevant individuals will be made part of the committee. Nimrita’s hostel room has been sealed for now, while investigation is underway
