MIRPUR KHAS: Students Affairs Department of Bhitai Dental and Medical College (BDMCH) recently organised a program to celebrate National Defence Day.
The students hosted the event. The program included national songs and speeches paying tributes to the martyrs and the ghazis of the 1965 war. It played the videos showing the courage and bravery of our soldiers.
Dr Permanand, Principal, Dr Ali Maqbool, Vice Principal, Mr Amir Shakoor and Mr Iqbal Memon, Executive Directors, Mr Altaf Butt, Assistant Director Coordination, senior and junior faculty members and students of BDMCH graced the event with their presence.
Dr Ghulam Mustafa, Chairman and Managing Director, Bhitai Education (Pvt) Ltd, sent a recorded video message that voiced that our elders' sacrifices have brought us this success, and we need to work hard to make this country prosperous.
Dr Permanand, Principal, BDMCH, said that it was a blessing of Almighty that we were breathing in a free and Independent country with complete rights for every citizen, and it is all because of the sacrifices of our armed forces who protect and guard us 24/7, 365 days a year. He further stated that we must not forget the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people and paid tribute to our armed forces.
Dr Ali Maqbool, Vice Principal, BDMCH, showed a new dimension to students and guided them that it was their responsibility to portray a positive image of our country as students and ambassadors. He also urged students that it would be a Jihad for them if they learned and studied with complete dedication and sincerity.
The program ended with the cake cutting ceremony.
