KARACHI- A lecture on 'Application of basic sciences in clinical practice' was arranged recently at Karachi Medical and Dental College. The event was hosted by Dr. Anum Khan along with Associate Professor Dr. Nasir Ali Khan as the chief coordinator of the event. Dr. Mumtazuddin Ahmed, - the visiting guest speaker from Malaysia, highlighted the necessity of application of basic sciences in clinical practice. Professor Dr. Mumtaz accompanied, with Dr. Zubair Abbasi, Dr. Nasir Ali Khan and Dr. Aqeel Sheikh, visited the dental OPD and was pleased to see the high standard and disci- pline at the institution. He appreciated the expertise and intelligence of the faculty and students acknowledging that the KMDC students are competent, talented, hard working and, surely, live up to any international standards. Dr. Mumtazuddin while acknowledging the efforts of the dental administration he shared his memories of being an external examiner in all 4 Royal Colleges, besides having conducted examinations at numerous prestigious institutions across the world.Professor Dr. Waqar Kazmi presented memento shields to the honorable Professor.
