KARACHI- A meeting was held at the DMC’s Arag Auditorium, to condone sad demise of Dr. Rafique A. Memon, who passed away on 20th August 2013. Dr Memon was a pioneering dentist and Dean - Faculty of Dentistry & Allied Sciences, Isra Dental College & Hospital, Hyderabad. Paying tribute to the services of the departed soul, Prof. Dr. Mizra Muhammad Shakir, Principle,Dow Dental College, DUHS expressed his heartfelt grief, sorrow and deepest sympathies with the family members of the deceased. He shared his emotional feelings in some valuable Urdu Verses. He said that Dr. Memon was considered a pioneer and great contributor, and was the one who brought new advancements in the field of dentistry. He upgraded the level of operative dentistry and composite at LUMHS, Jamshoro. He would always be remembered for his contribution to the cause of education, especially in the field of dentistry, Prof Dr MM Shakir said. The Meeting was attended by professors, doctors, senior faculty members of Dow University and recited Fateha and Dua to bless his soul.
