Professionalism & ethics in dentistry: JMDC hosts insightful faculty development session

KARACHI: The Department of Dental Education at Jinnah Medical & Dental College (JMDC) successfully conducted a Special Session on Professionalism & Ethics in Dentistry, reinforcing its commitment to faculty development and ethical dental practices.

Led by the distinguished Prof. Dr. Muhammad Yahya Noori, Professor of Microbiology and Director of Digital Learning at Dow University of Health Sciences, the session provided valuable insights into ethical responsibilities and professional conduct in the field of dentistry. Prof. Dr. Noori highlighted the importance of integrity, patient confidentiality, and adherence to ethical guidelines in dental practice.

The event, originally designed for faculty members, saw an overwhelming response from BDS students, who expressed keen interest in attending. Their participation made the session more dynamic and enriched discussions on real-world ethical dilemmas in dentistry.

At the conclusion of the session, Professor Dr. M. Junaid Lakhani, Principal of JMDC Dental College, extended a heartfelt thank you note to the speaker. As a token of appreciation, he presented Prof. Dr. Noori with a commemorative shield and a college souvenir.
