COHRC Workshop held at AIDM

KARACHI-  3rd Collabor-ative Oral Health Research Center (COHRC) workshop was recently held at the Altamash Institute of Dental Medicine . The aims of the workshop were hands on experience with SPSS Statistics program for data entry and analysis, Update on ongoing COHRC projects and Career counseling and information on post-graduation opportunities overseas. COHRC established in March 2012, by Co-founders Dr. Afshan Rahim Khan and Wardah Awan at AIDM. They have been conducting workshops in collaboration with the PMSRS (Pakistan Medical Students Research Society) on research methodologies. The topics at the workshop included Synthetic Bone Grafts for Bone Augmentation and Regeneration followed by Q&A delivered by Dr. Zeeshan Sheikh. The Research in Special Care Dentistry was by Dr. Saif Khan who discussed the new and emerging field which aims to cater to patients with physical, mental and social impairments,. This was followed by SPSS Statistics Data Entry and Analysis Hands on Tutorial by                                                                                                               Ms.Safia Awan who is a biostatistician at AKU. In the end Dr. Afshan RahimKhan gave an update on the COHRC Projects  and Dr. Jeneen Panezai: Attitudes and Behaviours: Oral Health Care Assessment in Third and Final Year Dental Students.
