RAWALPINDI: Margalla College of Dentistry (MCD), Rawalpindi, bagged third position in the annual Qirat Competition 2023, organised by Isra University, Islamabad.
The annual contest is participated by medical and dental students from the colleges of the twin cities, each team comprising a male and a female contestant.
Contesting in their own categories, the male and female participants recited Surah Dohaa, Surah No 93, Para 30 with Tajweed – the recitation of the Holy Quran as per set rules.
In this year’s contest, MCD 3rd year BDS student Muhammad Talaal Saleem secured the third position in the boys category.
The MCD students were accompanied by their chairpersons Dr Shayaan Hafeez and Dr Muteen Fatima.
The position-holders were awarded certificates and shields in recognition of their achievement.
