MIRPUR KHAS: The Department of Health Professional Education (DHPE) of Bhitai Dental and Medical College (BDMCH) organised a series of one-day workshops. The workshops were titled "Flipped Classroom", "Google Forms as an assessment tool", "Team-Based Learning and Peer-Assisted Learning", and "Record and Publish Lecture Online".
Professor Dr Atif Jawad, Dean, BDMCH and Dr Permanand, Principal, BDMCH, supervised these workshops. While, Dr Ghulam Mustafa, Chairman and Managing Director, Bhitai Education (Pvt) Ltd, envisioned these workshops.
The leading facilitators of these workshops were Dr Ali Maqbool, Director of Health Professionals Education and Head of Oral Biology Department, BDMCH and Dr Muhammad Anique, Lecturer and Basic Science Coordinator, Department of Health Professionals Education, BDMCH.
The purpose of these workshops was to change the traditional teaching strategies to new and advanced ones. Dr Maqbool and Dr Anique have conducted several seminars at BDMCH in the previous year as well. The workshops were conducted while following all COVID-19 SOPs.
Dr Ghulam Mustafa congratulated the facilitators and DHPE for conducting these successful workshops and hoped to see more such workshops. Later on, Dr Permanand distributed the certificates to the participants of the workshop.
