LAHORE: Akhtar Saeed Medical and Dental College (AMDC) organised a dental conference, accompanied by a post-conference workshop on "AI & Digital Workflow in Orthodontics & Aligners," providing attendees with hands-on experience.
The primary goal of the event was to enlighten the audience about the latest advancements in dental technology, procedures, and techniques, offering a unique learning opportunity to both experienced dentists and dental students.
The event commenced with recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a welcome note from Dr Sabir Hussain, Principal of the Dental Section at AMDC. The conference's inaugural session featured the presentation of the First In-House Award, presented by Prof Dr Iffat Batool and Dr Ali Raza.
The event was attended by Prof Dr Adnan Ali Shah, a renowned oral and maxillofacial surgeon from Canada, and faculty members from various Lahore-based institutions, such as Prof Dr Nadia Yazdanie, Prof Dr Abid Asher, Prof Dr Hina Zaffar, Prof Dr Nasir Saleem, Associate Professor Dr Waqar Ali, Prof Col Dr Iffat Batool, and Associate Professor Dr Ali Raza Jafri. These eminent experts shared valuable insights during their presentations.
They also encouraged young dentists to embrace dental advancements as a pathway to a brighter and more innovative dental practice. Overall, the event inspired the attendees to gain new knowledge and to apply it in their professional lives.
The conference concluded with the address by Chairman Dr Farooq, followed by the closing remarks from Prof Col Dr Iffat Batool, the Dean and Head of the Orthodontics Department. A delightful lunch provided a perfect ending to the event.
