KARACHI: Bahria University Dental College (BUDC) faculty member Prof Dr Farzeen Tanwir was invited as a guest speaker at a one-day conference held at the Aga Khan University of Health Sciences on World Oral Health Day.
Prof Farzeen provided valuable insight on the topic “Atraumatic tooth extraction – antimicrobial socket preservation & augmentation”.
On the occasion, a poster competition was also held where 2nd year BDS students of BUDC -- Baynita Khalid and Laveeza Kashif -- presented a poster on the topic “Obesity – a link to periodontitis” under the supervision of senior faculty members Dr Madiha Anwar and Dr Mohsin Haider.
Another poster was presented by Dr Ayesha Ashraf Khan, postgraduate trainee in the BUDC department of Orthodontics on the topic “Mandibular asymmetry in orthodontic patients with different malocclusion patterns – an ortho-pantographic evaluation” and bagged the first position in the competition.-PR
