LAHORE: CMH-Lahore Medical College Department of Community & Preventive Dentistry recently organized a poster competition to promote oral health awareness.
The event was held under the guidance of HoD Dr. Asma Shakoor and her team comprising Dr. Ali Anwaar (Associate Professor), Dr. Faiza Chishti, Dr. Ehtisham Ul Haq, and Dr. Nimra Fatima.
Students from the First to Final year BDS showcased their artistic talents around this year's theme, "A Happy Mouth is a Happy Body," displaying remarkable creations.
The judging panel comprised internal judges including Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nasir Saleem HoD, Operative Dentistry, Dr. Salman Aziz, HoD, Dental Materials, Prof. Dr. Nazli, HoD, Community Dentistry, LMDC, and Dr. Arooj ul Hassan, HoD, Community Dentistry, UOL, alongside external judges.
Winners were awarded cash prizes and certificates by Chief Executive/Principal Maj Gen Prof. Dr. Salman Saleem (R) HI (M), Dean IOD Prof. Dr. Samir Riaz Qazi, and Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Ayyaz Ali Khan.
The posters effectively conveyed the theme, enhancing students' knowledge and promoting the development of teamwork and presentation skills. Post-event feedback was gathered, reflecting a positive overall experience, with students expressing satisfaction with the competition.
The event's success was attributed to the commendable efforts of all participants, contributing to oral health awareness.
