JAMSHORO: Prof. Ikram Din Ujjan recently performed the "Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony" of HEC Pakistan sponsored two projects at Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences, Jamshoro.
While addressing the participants, Prof. Ikram Din Ujjan, Vice-Chancellor LUMHS, expressed that the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan has sponsored the establishment of a hostel for postgraduate students and a sports complex for girls of this university. He added that after completing all the required formalities, the construction work had been started for both projects.
Prof. Ikram said, "The hostel will have one hundred rooms to accommodate more than 200 students. This hostel shall benefit the doctors working round the clock in the hospital. There is no such facility available to provide them with a comfortable living environment.
The Sports Complex is being established for female students only. The site has been selected within the walled boundary compound of the female hostels so that they can avail themselves of the opportunity of sports in a safe and secured atmosphere."
