KARACHI: Iqra University recently organised a 'One-Day Free Mega Health Camp' for faculty, staff, students and nearby residents at Iqra University-North Campus in collaboration with Ameen Medical and Dental Center, Hussain Lakhani Hospital, Hashmanis Group of Hospitals, Chughtai Lab, Molty Ortho and many other healthcare organisations.
The event aimed to raise awareness among the community and provide them affordable and high-quality medical and dental services.The free dental camp took place under supervision of Dr Nabeel Baig, Medical Director, AMDC and led by Dr Bisma Anwar, Assistant Medical Director, AMDC.
A team of dentists carried out a comprehensive dental check-up. More than 150 participants were given free consultation and were also guided about the common mistakes to avoid while brushing their teeth. While speaking on the occasion, Dr Nabeel said, "It is a great initiative by Iqra University in creating health awareness among the masses and to encourage people to be proactive about their health. These free medical and dental camps provide free of cost check-ups, treatments and medicine to the patients who do not have easy access to healthcare."
At the end of the programme Dr Masroor, Dean of Iqra University Department of Health Sciences presented the award of appreciation to Dr Nabeel Baig, Medical Director AMDC and appreciated the efforts of team AMDC.
