ISLAMABAD: The 12-member health task force formed by the Ministry of National Health Services Regulations and Coordination, in its first meeting reviewed the impact of tropical cyclone Biparjoy among other issues.
The task force comprising health professionals has been formed by the federal government on the instruction of federal health minister Abdul Qadir Patel.
A federal health ministry spokesman said Dr Syed Ali Farhan heads the 12-member task force as its chairman.
In the first meeting of the health task force, held on the instructions of the federal health minister, discussed the situation, especially the health issues, being faced by the people in the aftermath of cyclone Biparjoy that affected some coastal areas of Sindh.
Dr Sabina Durrani briefed the meeting about the NEOC meetings and the steps taken by the Sindh Health Department.
The recommendations given by the health professionals were compiled and will be sent to the federal government.
The federal government will provide all out support to the task force, the spokesperson says.
