Punjab health minister reviews CPSP performance

LAHORE:  Punjab Caretaker Health Minister Dr Javed Akram during a visit to the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan here, reviewed CPSP performance and considered a proposal to further promote the institution in the UK in a recent meeting.

CPSP President Prof Dr Khalid Masood Gondal welcomed the minister on his arrival at the CPSP.

Aamir Zaman Khan, Dr Habib, Prof Abrar Ashraf, Prof Khalid Mehmood, Prof Tayyab, Dr Zohra Khanum, Prof Ijaz Hussain, Prof Ahmed Nauman, Prof Akhtar Sohail Chaghtai, Prof Riaz Waraich, Prof Ayesha Shaukat, Dr Iqbal Dogar, Dr Aqib and other officials attended the meeting.

During the meeting, CPSP President Prof Dr Khalid Masood Gondal informed the minister about performance and achievements of the institution. 

Dr Asad Rahim submitted suggestions to further promote CPSP in the UK.

Dr Javed Akram, speaking on this occasion, said that CPSP welcomes Javed Kayani and Dr Asad Rahim to Pakistan. 

He said CPSP is one of the top medical institutions in the country providing the best training to doctors and doing excellent work under the leadership of Dr Gondal. 

He said the initiative to make the CPSP more active in the UK is very important.

The minister said Punjab government is also completing the health sector projects left incomplete during the last 12 years.

Prof Akhtar Sohail Chughtai suggested that examiners should visit the UK to study the British examination system.
