Over the past few years, videos are being widely used in classrooms for supporting teachers and helping students to learn faster. Concepts that are difficult to understand by traditional methods, are learned better by watching people perform or demonstrate the process.
Keeping the concept in mind, the Department of Operative Dentistry BUMDC, organized a video competition among third and final year students, facilitated by Dr. Sara Khan and Dr. Fasiha for third year; Dr. Umeed and Dr. Adeel for final Year, under the supervision of Dr. Shama.
Dr. Tabassum was invited as the judge of the competition.
Students were given topics related to Restorative dentistry, for which they searched videos on the internet, that would show the whole procedure of the specified treatment. Students explained the procedures in detail while displaying the videos in front of the judge.
At the end of the competition, certificates were distributed by Dr. Tabassum to the winners of 3rd year BDS, Ms. Komal and Ms. Ayesha; and among final year students, Mr. Zaman and Ms. Hansa scored the highest marks.
