KARACHI: The Orthodontics Department of Bahria University Medical & Dental College (BUMDC) recently organised an orthodontic case presentation session for final year BDS students at the end of their rotation.
Dr Omair, Senior Lecturer, Department of Orthodontics, BUMDC, supervised the presentation session, and Dr Arsalan, Head of Oral Diagnosis Department, BUMDC, graded the students.
The individual student of the group was assigned a case. The students were supposed to analyse the cases using casts, radiographs, photographs and detailed histories to formulate a diagnosis, problem list and a specific treatment plan and then present it.
This activity enabled the students to approach orthodontic problems in a dynamic way allowing them to attain treatment-oriented learning skills.
The best presenter was Maimuna Mohib, whereas Ammarah Noor bagged the second position.
