KARACHI: A dental camp was held recently, as a part of the Naunehal Carnival. The camp was organised by the Community & Preventive Dentistry Hamdard University Dental Hospital faculty Dr Syed Muzzamil Ali, Dr Saima Asim, Dr Shikoh Naz, & Dr Mudassir was attended by school students.
The camp began with registration and a brief overview of the schedule for the day. Participants were then divided into groups and assigned to different dentists for their check-ups. The dentists conducted a thorough examination of each individual's oral health, including checking for issues such as cavities, gum disease, and oral cancer.
During the check-ups, the dentists also provided education on proper oral hygiene techniques, such as the correct way to brush and floss teeth. They also answered any questions that the participants had regarding their oral health.
The camp also had a section for oral health education and awareness, which included information on the importance of regular dental check-ups, the effects of smoking and alcohol on oral health, and the proper way to care for teeth and gums. This section was attended by 500 individuals.
