The Community Support Program (CSP) team of Bahria University of Medical and Dental College, under the effectual leadership of Dr Kulsoom Fatima Rizvi carried out an oral health awareness session at Govt. Boys’ Secondary School, Chanaser 1.
The CSP team was supervised by Dr Raima Bashir and accompanied by Dr Anum Malik, Dr Marvi, Dr Muneeba, Dr Marium Khalid and Dr Abdul Razzak. There was a lecture on common oral diseases, the etiological & risk factors, disease process and preventive measures. The school pupils interacted attentively and showed great interest by responding well during the session. Oral hygiene practices such as meticulous tooth brushing techniques were also demonstrated on models for the audience. After the interactive session, oral examination was performed for each child at the school. Those students who required urgent treatment were referred to BUMDC Dental Hospital for the management of their aliments. Oral hygiene kits were distributed among the children at the end of the program.
