MIRPURKHAS: The Department of Health Professional Education (DHPE) at Bhitai Dental and Medical College Mirpurkhas organised an intellectual workshop titled "Case Based Learning" recently.
This workshop's leading facilitators were Dr Ali Maqbool, Director of Health Professionals Education and Head of the Oral Biology Department, and Dr Muhammad Anique, Senior Lecturer and Dental Science Coordinator Department of Health Professionals Education.
The aim of the workshop was to emphasise the importance of case-based learning in health professions education, and how it enhances student engagement and competency. The workshop comprised a series of interactive activities and presentations by the facilitators to provide insights on the benefits and challenges of case-based learning.
Both facilitators, Dr Ali Maqbool and Dr. Muhammad Anique, conducted several workshops at the BDMC in the previous year as well as this year.
This workshop was done following all SOPs, and participants maintained a social distance and continued to wear the mask throughout the workshop.
Events were organised by team DHPE under the supervision of Dr Permanand, principal of Bhitai Dental and Medical College. Dr Ghulam Mustafa, Managing Director of Bhitai Group of Colleges, also congratulated Dr Ali Maqbool, Dr Muhammad Anique, and team DHPE for conducting a successful workshop and hoped that more and more workshops would be conducted by DHPE in BDMC. Later on, principal Dr Permanand distributed the certificates of participation to the participants that attended the workshop.
