Karachi: This educational dental session organized by the FDPP, focused upon the aspects of Rotary Endodontics and its counter parts.
The course was attended by a number of dentists from Karachi, as well as from Interior Sindh. The 2-day course comprised of lectures, conducted by Dr. Naheed Najmi & Dr. Abrar, based on the latest techniques in the field of rotary endodontics. The lectures were followed by hands on sessions, during which the participants practiced their endodontic skills with rotary motors, performing hands-on over endo blocks, and also performed the entire procedure, step by step, from the method of rotary filing, canal preparation to obturation techniques.
A special guest and FDPP faculty member from USA, Dr. Adnan Qayyum graced the occasion with his lecture, which was highly appreciated by the audience.
Dr. Qayyum earned a Dental Degree from Baqai Dental College (BDC) in 1994 & a Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2003 from NYU College of Dentistry. He is also an attending faculty at Leigh Valley hospital for their Dental Residency program.
The next session of FDPP’s course on Restorative & Endodontics will be focusing on the restoration of endodontically treated teeth and Pedodontics.
