QUETTA: A comprehensive workshop on dental implants, veneer preparation, crown preparation, and advanced rotary endodontics was recently organised by Prof Dr Syed Abrar, Head of the Operative Department at Hamdard University Dental Hospital, recognizing the need for enhanced dental activities in the province.
The workshop, held at the dental section of Civil Hospital, Bolan Medical College, drew participation from both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Over the course of two days, attendees had an opportunity of learning from Dr Abrar's vast expertise and practical knowledge in the field.
The workshops began with a demonstration by Dr Abrar, followed by engaging discussions and a productive question-and-answer session, allowing participants to deepen their understanding of the subject matter.
Hands-on sessions were also held, enabling the students to apply their newly acquired knowledge in a practical setting, honing their skills further.
In appreciation of their valuable contributions, Prof Dr Abrar presented shields and traditional souvenirs, in the form of Ajrak, to the esteemed facilitators of the workshop. The facilitators included Dr Talha Asad Khan, Dr Syed Atta Ullah Shah, Dr Fahad Saleem, Dr Akram Ali, and the programme's Dean, Prof Dr Syed Rauf Shah. Dr Shah expressed heartfelt gratitude for Dr Abrar's efforts in advancing dental education within Balochistan province.
Dr Abrar also expressed his gratitude to Dr Rauf Shah and the other facilitators for their unwavering support and dedication, which contributed to the success of the event. He emphasised the significance of collaboration and knowledge sharing in elevating the dental profession and ensuring the delivery of quality oral healthcare services to the people of Balochistan.
The workshop not only provided an opportunity for skill enhancement but also acted as a catalyst for the development of dental education and expertise in the province. Participants conveyed their appreciation for the valuable insights gained during the workshop, underscoring its positive impact on their professional growth.
