Karachi - The first and second year BDS students of Sindh Institute of Oral Health Sciences (SIOHS) celebrated Pakistan’s 71ST Independence Day, on August 13th 2018 at their campus. It was an exciting event, in which many students participated with great fervour and enthusiasm; several faculty members also took part. The college building was decorated with Pakistani flags, buntings, and green and white balloons.
The program started with the recitation of Holy Quran, after which the national anthem was sung with patriotic zeal and zest. Cake with its topping designed to match the pattern and colours of the Pakistani flag was cut to celebrate the birthday of Pakistan. Patriotic songs were continuously being played to enrich the spirit of the occasion.
The Chief Guest for the event was the Dean of Dental Faculty (SIOHS, JSMU), Prof S. M. Kefi Iqbal.
