KARACHI: The Department of Orthodontics, Bahria University Medical & Dental College (BUMDC), recently arranged a case presentation session for final year students of BDS as a part of their end rotation assessment.
Students were assigned cases individually, which they presented to Dr Arsalan, Head of Oral Diagnosis Department, BUMDC and Dr Omair, Senior Registrar, Department of Orthodontics, BUMDC.
Each student presented an orthodontic case with key aspects such as history, examination, diagnosis, problem list and a treatment plan acceptable for their case. The students were graded based on their presentation skills and relevant knowledge.
The key purpose of the session was to enhance students' communication skills and correlate subject knowledge with treatment planning.
The certificate for the best presentation was awarded to Zargul Nisar, with Fatima Ibrahim being the runner-up.
