Jamshoro- The Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Department of Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS), recently, organized a seminar with clinical case presentations and case based panel discussion to mark the World Oral Cancer Day.
The program was moderated by Chairman OMFS, Prof. Syed Ghazanfar Hasan.
Dr Raza Hussain from Shaukuat Khanum, from Lahore, in his Skype presentation and discussion with the panelists, discussed the early signs of oral cancer, and treatment of this disease.
Complex oral cancer cases were discussed at the seminar, wherein the panelists weighed in with their expert and specialist opinions and advice.
Panelists for the discussion were Prof Iqbal Hussain (ENT), Prof Ghazanfar Hassan (OMFS), Prof Mahesh Kumar (Plastic Surgery), Dr Asghar Hussain (Clinical Oncologist), DrM.Shahzad (OMFS), Dr Kashif Ali Channar (OMFS), Dr Suneel Kumar (OMFS), Dr Amin (Clinical Oncologist), Dr Jawad Safdar (OMFS) and Dr Mushtaque Memon ( ENT).
The event was attended by postgraduates from different specialties.
As concluding remarks it was said that ‘prevention is better than cure’ therefore, our governments should spend more on health education.
