ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has issued a directive aimed at ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all individuals working and studying in medical and dental institutions across Pakistan. As part of this initiative, PMDC has mandated the formation of Anti-Harassment Committees in every recognized institution to address and resolve complaints related to workplace harassment.
According to the public notice, any individual who experiences or witnesses harassment can file a confidential complaint directly with the Registrar, PM&DC—either by post or via email at registrar@pmdc.pk. The PMDC has pledged to handle all submissions with utmost diligence, ensuring both confidentiality and timely resolution of reported cases.
By taking these measures, PMDC reaffirms its commitment to protecting healthcare professionals, students, and staff from any form of harassment. This step underscores the Council’s broader objective of maintaining professional standards and ethical conduct within Pakistan’s healthcare sector, ultimately contributing to a more respectful and supportive environment for everyone involved.
