KARACHI - Ameen Medical and Dental Center(AMDC) recently organised a lecture and hands-on workshop titled 'CBCT in Dental Practice' in collaboration with North Diagnostic Center.
Dr Bisma Anwar, Dental Surgeon & Administrator AMDC and Dr Sara Fatima, MSc in Oral Surgery, facilitated the workshop attended by house officers, dental practitioners and postgraduate residents.
The speakers discussed the basics of Cone-Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT), the difference between 2D & 3D dental imaging, indications and limitations, multiplanar and sectional imaging and interpretation of CBCT imaging.
The workshop aimed to highlight the basic principles and improve oral and maxillofacial diagnosis accuracy and reliability, treatment planning and diagnosis using CBCT. The responses recorded were very positive.
In the end, Mrs Ameen Begum, Chief Executive Officer, AMDC, gave a vote of thanks and certificates were distributed to all the participants. The speakers were also presented with a token of appreciation.
