The results of elections for the Pakistan Dental Association (PDA-Central), have been finally announced by the Chief Election Commissioner – Justice Retd. Afzal Hyder. The results of these elections were stayed by the Sind High Court. According to these final results the winning Panel of the PDA-Central comprises of; Dr. Saqib Rashid as the new elected President, along with his team; Dr. Kefi Iqbal- Vice President, Dr. Abdul Qadir Dall as General Secretary and Dr. Arshad Hasan as Finance Secretary. This Panel contested the elections under the slogan; “Ray of Light”. In the Sindh Zone, the representatives of this panel include; Dr. Feroze Ali Kalhoro as Zonal Vice President, Dr. Sarfraz Ali Abbasi and Dr. Kashif Ali Channar. The Zonal Vice President in Punjab is Dr. Arham Nawaz Chohan with representatives; Dr. Hafiz Shaker Mahmood and Dr. Amjad Bari. The Federal Zone consists of Zonal Vice President Dr. Ulfat Basheer and a representative - Dr. Zahoor Ahmed Rana. The Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa Zonal Vice President is Dr. Shakeel ur Rehman Khattak with Representatives - Dr. Shafqat Ali Shah and Dr. Syed Imran Shah. While the new Zonal Vice President in Baluchistan is Dr. Rauf Shah. It is hoped that the new look PDA Dr Saqib Rashid will spearhead the change and bring about changes to ensure benefit for the entire dental community.
