TAXILA, RAWALPINDI: HITEC-IMS Dental College organized ‘Azadi March’ on August 13 in connection with Independence Day to instill patriotism among the students.
The event, organized by the college’s Events Society led by Dr. Rida Batool, in collaboration with the Literary, Music, and Debate societies. started at 8:30 am.
The march held in the institute’s main ground was led by principals and vice principals of both colleges, attended by students and faculty members dressed in the national colors.
The event was hosted by Shaza Umar, a final-year BDS student, and Rao Danish, a second-year MBBS student.
It also featured an inspiring speech by Safa Khattak and a captivating performance by the Music Society, led by Warda, a final-year BDS student.
The students sang national songs, including the iconic "Dil Dil Pakistan," inspiring the audience to join the chorus.
Allama Iqbal’s poetry was also recited on the occasion.
The principals then addressed the gathering, encouraging students and other participants to contribute to Pakistan’s progress.
The celebration concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony and the distribution of sweets.
