ISLAMABAD: In response to a decrease in COVID-19 infections in Pakistan, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has amended its policy for inbound travellers.
"The inbound policy was reviewed, after which it was decided to ease restrictions with effect from 0001 PST, February 24, 2022," the NCOC announced.
NCOC has implemented the following health/testing protocols:
For fully vaccinated inbound travellers, pre-boarding negative PCR has been eliminated. Non-vaccinated individuals over the age of 12 will, however, require a negative PCR test prior to boarding (72 hours old).
Full vaccination is mandatory for all inbound passengers.
Passengers under the age of 12 are not required to be vaccinated.
Passengers between 12-18 years of age are allowed to travel without mandatory vaccination till March 31, 2022.
Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) on arrival for deportees and non-vaccinated pedestrians at Border Terminals; Positive cases will be quarantined at home for ten days.
The NCOC also reduced restrictions in Karachi, Hyderabad, and Peshawar as the COVID positive ratio dropped.
