KARACHI: Under the leadership of Dr Mahmood Shah, President-Elect of Asia Pacific Dental Federation (APDF) and President of Pakistan Dental Association (PDA) and Prof. Dr Nasir Khan, Secretary-General of Pakistan Dental Association (PDA), the organising committee of 43rd APDC arranged a prize distribution ceremony of grand quiz and poster competition on at Karachi Medical & Dental College, Karachi.
This quiz and poster competition was held as a pre-43rd Asia-Pacific Dental Congress (APDC) event and was organised by Prof Nasir Ali Khan, Secretary 43rd APDC.
Prof Dr Nargis Anjum, Principal KMDC, was the chief guest. Dr Inayatullah Padhiar (Sitara-e-Imtiaz) and Prof Qadeer ul Hasan, Principal, Muhammad Dental College Mirpurkhas, was the guest of honour on the occasion of the prize distribution ceremony.
Teams from 16 dental colleges from different cities participated in this quiz competition, moderated by Dr Farhan Raza Khan and Prof Abrar Ali.
In the poster competition, Baqai Dental College got the first position, Bhitai Dental and Medical College obtained the second, and Liaquat College of Medicine & Dentistry secured the third position.
Similarly, in the quiz competition Jinnah Medical and Dental College obtained the first position. In contrast, Bahria Medial & Dental College got second, and Sir Syed College of Medical Sciences for Girls secured the third position.
The competition proved to be a highly successful event with the active participation of students and faculty members.
Dr Mahmood Shah also fully participated in this event. Other prominent personalities were Prof Ambreen Afzal Ehsan, Prof Qadeer ul Hasan, Dr Inayatullah Padhiar, Prof Aqeel Shaikh, Dr Saima Butt, Dr Sana Mirza, Dr Shafaq Roghay and many others.
However, the leading 43rd APDC virtual conference will be held from 24th to 26th June 2022. APDF and ICCDE have awarded 18 CPD points to all registered participants of this mega-event
