Karachi: The Faculty of Dental Practitioners of Pakistan (FDPP), held it's inaugural session of their Long Course in Restorative Dentistry and Endodontics.
The welcoming address was delivered by Dr. Talha M. Siddiqui, Vice Principal Baqai Dental College. He gave an introduction regarding FDPP to the participants and spoke briefly about the aims and objectives of the academy; and their goals for further establishment of FDPP.
Dr. Salman Asif Ali, a well known clinician & dental practitioner, Dr. Ain ul Haq Head of the Department, M.E Baqai Dental College have organized this course.
The sessions were conducted by FDPP faculty members, Dr. Naheed Najmi Vice Principal Liaquat College of Medicine and Dentistry, Prof Abrar, Hamdard College of Medicine and Dentistry and Dr. Abdul Basit Padhiar, Head, Institute of Family Dentistry, Baqai Dental College.
The course was well attended by graduates from Karachi and interior Sindh. It comprised of comprehensive lectures, followed by demos and hands – on sessions. All the participants went through different learning and skill building tasks, to gain command over Composite fillings & other Restorative procedures.
This 6 month Long Course on Restorative Dentistry & Endodontics is accredited by Baqai Medical University. The second session, based on Endodontics, is scheduled to be held on 12th and 13th May 2018.
