QUETTA: The Department of Operative Dentistry at Bolan Medical College (BMC) Quetta, under the banner of 6th International PAO-PPA Conference, conducted a hands-on workshop on ‘Contemporary Endodontics- Fundamentals of Hyflex EDM.’
Prof. Syed Yawar Ali Abidi, Head of Operative Department at Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU), Karachi, was invited as the honorable Guest speaker for the session. Upon addressing the participants and faculty members, he stressed on how the dental scenario around the country has changed, and that majority of the Endodontists now prefer using the latest instruments and equipment, recommended by the world. Whilst sharing his expertise, he focused on the advantages of the newer generation of ‘Rotary file systems’ and how this technology is better than the previous ones.
Prof. Dr. Mujeeb ur Rehman, Head of Dental Section BMC and Dr. Fahim Anwar, Head of Operative Dentistry BMC were both present at the Endodontic workshop.
Dr. Fahim thanked the guest speaker for sharing his knowledge in the name of continued dental education, for the future dentists of the deprived province. He also appreciated the efforts of Brig. Prof. Azad Ali Azad, President PPA and Dr. Nasrullah Mengal, President PAO for arranging a successful international event in Quetta.
Dr. Fahim appreciated the efforts of his team members, Principal Dental Surgeon, Dr. Anand Kumar, Assistant Professor Dr. Naila Amir and Demonstrators Dr. Niaz Ahmed, Dr. Talha Asad, Dr. Fahad Salim and Dr. Akram Ali, and thanked them for all the assistance provided by them. Last but not least, he thanked Mr. Mohammad Nadir of Premier Health Care for all his support.
