MBBS BDS admissions: PMC releases final list, launches portal for vacant seats

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) recently released the final list of students who have been accepted into medical and dental schools.

According to a notice, the PMC has made a list available on its website for students who want to see which institution they have been accepted to. Colleges have also been given access to their final admitted lists through the PMC institutions portal, and any student or college with a concern can contact the PMC by February 24. Furthermore, the commission has said unequivocally that students' admission will not be altered.

Moreover, PMC has also launched a portal for students who have not been accepted into any medical or dental college but are eligible for admission after passing the MDCAT and receiving more than 65 per cent in the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) exam.

Students can apply for these vacant seats through the portal, which is now live on the official PMC website until February 27. They will be admitted to the vacant seats strictly on merit with an additional qualification, as per which, on vacant public seats, students with merits higher than the lowest admitted merit in public colleges will be entertained to ensure no student of lower merit than the current lowest merit is admitted to a public college.
