LAHORE: Governor, Punjab Muhammad Sarwar, has recently nomianted Prof. Dr Ayma Syed, Vice Principal, Azra Naheed Dental College (ANDC), Superior University, for the prestigious Governor Award.
Governor Punjab selected Dr Ayma in recognition of her remarkable and outstanding achievements in serving Pakistan.
Prof. Dr Ayma Syed has been working as Vice-Principal and Head of Community and Preventive Dentistry at ANDC. She has also been serving as the Medical Superintendent of Chaudhry Muhammad Akram Dental Hospital (CMADH).
Having graduated from Baqai Dental College in 1999, she pursued her M.Phil in Community Dentistry from Shaikh Zayed Post Graduate Medical Institute, Punjab University, in 2008. She has been actively engaged in teaching undergraduates and has always endeavoured to advocate oral health through various Oral Health Educational Campaigns collaborating with the Sarwar Foundation.
To date, her most prominent achievement has been completing Unilever/FDI/ PDA/ IADSR joint venture “Live, Learn & Laugh” Phase I & II as the Principal Investigator.
