LAHORE: The Azra Naheed Dental College recently celebrated World Oral Health Day by organizing different innovative activities to highlight the importance of oral health, including a colorful parade and a poster competition to raise awareness about the issue in the community.
On the occasion, the Superior Group Chairman Prof Chaudhry Abdul Rehman led a colorful parade, participated by college Principal Prof. Dr. M. Asif Shahzad, Vice Principal Prof. Dr. Ayma Syed, and the entire dental faculty showing collective commitment to advancing oral health as a fundamental pillar of well-being.
The parade was followed by a poster competition engaging students from all levels of dental studies. With themes ranging from preventive care to oral health equity, the competition reflected the creativity and ingenuity of the participants.
Through the posters the students expressed their zeal for oral health advocacy, showcasing not only their artistic prowess but also a profound grasp of the significance of their message.
The chairman and a panel comprising faculty members evaluated the students’ artistic excellence but also the depth of their understanding and dedication to the cause of oral health awareness.
On the occasion, the college offered a 20pc discount on all dental procedures during the holy month of Ramazan.
The college management in a message said that such events reaffirm its commitment to enable individuals and communities to embrace lifelong healthy smiles by empowering them with the relevant knowledge and resources.
It added that World Oral Health Day emphasizes the importance of oral health as an indispensable component of overall well-being.
