KARACHI – Sir Syed College of Medical Sciences (for Girls) held its Commencement Day on 15th December, 2014 for the new incoming MBBS and BDS batch. This year a record 570 applicants were evaluated for 100 medical and 50 dental seats.
The Chief Guest on the occasion was Prof Tariq Rafi , Vice-Chancellor, JSMU, while addressing the occasion stated that doctors have a special status in society which should be respected. The occasion was graced by Dr. Moinuddin Sheikh, chairman, SSCMS, who stressed the importance of medical education amongst women. The event was attended by the newly enrolled students, as well as their parents and the junior and senior faculty members.
