ISLAMABAD- Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) has recently paid above Rs86 million to TEPS, the online MDCAT conducting private firm, violating court orders.
PMC paid Rs 86.984 million to TEPS as its second payment and violated Lahore High Court (LHC) order issued earlier.
According to the court order, till the next date of hearing, no further payment of any amount should be made to respondents No 8 and 9 under the joint venture agreement.
However, the PMC finance committee decided to release the amount to TEPS despite court orders.
The official document which approved the payment release read, “As the Honourable LHC has ordered to hold payment to TEPS, but for the continuity of the process, the finance committee, after seeking legal advice from the Member Legal PMC has approved the payment to the vendors of TEPS.”
