KARACHI: Karachi Metropolitan University (KMU) commemorated Pakistan's 77th Independence Day with flag-hoisting and cake-cutting ceremonies,
The event commenced with the hoisting of the national flag, followed by a cake-cutting ceremony led by Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Wasim Qazi.
Principal of Medicine Prof Dr. Nargis Anjum, Principal of Dentistry Prof Dr. Sheeraz Hussain, and other faculty members were also present.
In his address, the vice chancellor shared his vision for transforming KMU into a leading higher education institution in Pakistan, outlining key strategic priorities aimed at promoting academic excellence, research capabilities and community engagement.
The event featured a series of activities involving students, and concluded with a renewed commitment to promote education, patriotism, unity, and creativity within the KMU community.
