ISLAMABAD: For the first time in Pakistan, the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) held a dental National Licensing Examination-2 (Clinical Skills Examination) for foreign graduates at the Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University School of Dentistry (SZAMBU).
According to a PMC spokeswoman, a large number of students took the test, and it was an excellent endeavour to check students.
PMC conducts NLE-2 to check foreign dental graduates' skills
He explained that the NLE is designed to assess a graduate's competency, knowledge, and abilities in order to verify that they are safe doctors before they are awarded a licence to treat patients on their own.
According to him, the NLE skills exam represents the fundamental required skills for patient treatment and management, without which patients would be in deep trouble.
He believes that the National Licensing Examination will protect patients' rights while also encouraging all capable and knowledgeable students to enter the mainstream field.
He went on to say that the PMC is working with a clear vision and determination to help and improve Pakistan's healthcare sector.
