KARACHI: It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Ishtiaq Ahmed Roomi, the esteemed founder of Roomi Enterprises, who passed away on November 26 after a prolonged illness. Mr. Roomi, who had been courageously battling multiple health issues for several months, leaves behind a legacy of dedication, innovation, and service.
A visionary entrepreneur and a true pioneer, Mr. Roomi was instrumental in the growth and success of Roomi Enterprises, a company that earned respect and recognition in its industry. His commitment to excellence and his unwavering work ethic became an inspiration to many in his field. Under his leadership, Roomi Enterprises became a household name in Pakistan, particularly known for its role in manufacturing the popular Sensodyne toothpaste, which made a significant mark in the country's dental care sector.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Mr. Roomi was honored with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award by the Pakistan Dental Association, a testament to his invaluable services and the impact he had in his profession. His work, not only in business but also in his service to the community, will continue to inspire generations to come.
Mr. Roomi will be remembered not only for his professional accomplishments but also for his kindness, humility, and generosity. His passing leaves a deep void, but his influence will remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of working with him.
He is survived by his wife, son Nadeem Ahmed Roomi, and two daughters. The family requests privacy during this difficult time.
Mr. Roomi’s Namaz-e-Janaza will be held tomorrow at Masjid-e-Farooq Azam in Boat Basin, Clifton, following Zohr prayers.
