ISLAMABAD: For the enrichment of organisational management, evidence-based policies, efficient and sustainable practices, President Pakistan has recently approved the enlargement of the Health Services Academy (HSA) with the augmentation of five more departments at the varsity.
HSA Senate, led by Dr Arif Alvi, President Pakistan, has approved the establishment of five more departments at the varsity to ensure quality healthcare including, Digital Health, Health Economics, Public Health Nutrition & Lifestyle Medicine, Environmental Health & Climate Change and Health Policy Planning & Management.
Dr Shahzad Ali Khan, Vice-Chancellor, HSA, announced this development at the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the HSA and Institute of Leadership Excellence (ILE) in Islamabad.
In order to maintain these departments via trained and qualified faculty, he said, we were not only hiring experts from abroad but signing MoUs with the institutes like ILE to train their faculty to enhance collaboration and tackle the challenges.
Following permission from the Academic Council and the Syndicate of the varsity, Dr Khan further said that Research Innovation and Commercialisation office and Quality Enhancement Cell had already been installed at the HSA.
