ISLAMABAD: The government plans to establish pharma parks and digitise the overall health system in the country to meet modern trends, announces caretaker Federal Minister for Health Dr Nadeem Jan .
The minister said this at a seminar titled ‘Pakistan Internal Medicine’ held in Murree, where he revealed the government's plan to encourage the public-private partnership to develop the pharma industry of the country.
Mr Jan said dialogue is being initiated with developed countries for technology transfer in medical sector to strengthen the country’s health infrastructure.
He urged the developed countries to allocate 20pc to 30pc of vaccines to lower income countries in case of the outbreak of any pandemic, enabling them to effectively respond to various preventable diseases.
Highlighting the reforms introduced in the health ministry, Dr Nadeem Jan said an accountability cell, an anti-harassment cell and placement and promotion committee have been set up to streamline its functions.
