The Oral Pathology Department of Ziauddin College of Dentistry organized an oral health awareness program on 15th March 2014 at Daar-ul-Sukun.
Daar-ul-Sukun is an organization that provides support, care and shelter to the special people, socially displaced children, senior citizens and poor families for viable change in their lives through a team of committed professionals and compassionate volunteers.
The campaign was a combined effort carried out by the faculty, postgraduate & undergraduate students of Ziauddin University. A total of 200 students were examined during the visit. Besides the examination, the faculty members emphasized on the significance of maintaining oral hygiene followed by an interactive demonstration on brushing techniques.
Ziauddin University collaborated with Pakistan Dental Community who handed over samples of mouthwashes & toothpastes to the students. The administration of Daar-ul-Sukun was overwhelmed and thanked the Ziauddin university team for such an valuable educational program. Ziauddin College of dentistry looks forward to arranging such educational trips at other institutions in future as well. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Salima Asif Ali - Assistant Prof. & HOD
