Karachi: A competition of Orthodontic case presentations held at Bahria University Medical and Dental College, Karachi. The session had final year BDS students, posted in the Orthodontic department, showcased twelve unique and creative orthodontic case presentations.
The objective of this exercise was to go through the entire process of collecting and analyzing all the necessary records that are needed for a proper diagnosis of an orthodontic case. These presentations were followed by a Q/A session along with a brief discussion regarding the cases.
The session was judged by Dr. Tabassum Ahsan, Head of Department of Orthodontics.
Among these presentations, two stood out and were rewarded with certificates by the Principal of Dental Section, Professor Wahab Qadri. The winner of the competition was Kanza Urooj Rafique, followed by the runner up, Bilal Mustafa Naru.
These presentations displayed talent present within BUMDC's student body. Their desire and ambition made it difficult for the judges to nominate the best amongst them.
These case presentations encouraged self-learning and inspired the students to compete with confidence, ambition and grace.
The presentations were judged on the basis of their content, demonstration and time management skills.
