KARACHI- After perpetual hard work and incessant dedication of the members of PDA, the mega event finally commenced on the 23rd of January 2015 and ended on the 25th of January 2015.
The closing ceremony has always been the highlight of the congress and this time also it became the high point of the congress. Although the event was not as grand as in the last conference, but it was certainly more interactive with participation of young dentists making it a grand event.
The closing event was hosted by Dr. Aizaz Khan and Dr. Talha. The show kicked off with Dr Talha stealing the limelight with his melodious voice which captivated the audience.
The "Voice of Congress" rocked the stage with 12 singers from dental colleges all over the country participated in the competition for the coveted title.
1st runner up was Jamal Shahid, who won cash prize of Rs. 3000. 2nd runner up was Danial Noor, who won Rs. 2000 and the Voice of the congress title was won by Rabia Ali from Hamdard university who got 5000 Rs and a gift hamper.
The show host Dr. Aizaz khan and the judges shared some memorable songs and the audience appreciated their performance
The closing ceremony saw the first " Inaam Ghar", conducted by Dr. Aizaz Khan, the sponsors of inaam ghar were: Colgate, GSK, Platinum pharma., Western Lab, Roomi enterprises, Shield and Chase up shopping store.
The inaam ghar had rapid fire questions to win wonderful gifts. The audience were overwhelmed and there couldn't have been a better way to involve the audience.
In the end shields of honour were given to all the members of PDA by the patron and chairman of the event which was dedicated to martyred children of Army Public School.
