ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturer's Association (PPMA) has been carrying its first-ever "Pharma Export Summit and Awards (PESA) 2021" on September 29, 2021, at Serena Hotel in Islamabad. Around fifty top pharmaceutical companies across Pakistan would be awarded on the basis of their export performance.
Abdul Razak Dawood, Advisor for Commerce and Industry to the Prime Minister (PM), Asad Umar, Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, and Dr Faisal Sultan, Special Assistant to PM on Health, will attend and address the event. Other key officials from the federal government will also embellish the event with their presence.
Chief Executive Officers of top acting pharmaceutical companies, i.e., Khalid Mehmood (Getz Pharma), Shahbaz Malik (Hilton Pharma), Nadeem Khalid (Herbion), Ali Akhai (Martin Dow), Shamim Ahmed (Sami Pharmaceuticals), Israr Sharif (Genix Pharma) and Kashif Sheikh(CCL Pharma) and Haroon Qasim (Pharmevo), would be awaited to be present in-person to receive the award.
The first of its kind, the PESA event has aimed to enlighten the achievements of the pharmaceutical sector. The event also aimed to outline this sectors' potential to contribute to the economy if given proper support by the government.
