KARACHI: The Academy of Clinical Excellence (ACE), known for providing healthcare professionals with cutting-edge hands-on training successfully concluded its five-day Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine programme at Fatima Jinnah Dental College (FJDC).
The closing ceremony was attended by trainers, programme team members, and distinguished guests.
On the occasion, ACE recognized the contribution of Dr Islam Kassem, a Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon and Senior Faculty Member of the American Board of Aesthetic Medicine (ABAM), to oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Dr Kassem, an Egypt-based surgeon, has an impressive portfolio, specialising in dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants, periodontal surgery, laser surgery, maxillofacial trauma, reconstruction, and facial aesthetic surgery. He is internationally recognized for teaching aesthetic medicine.
Dr Hussain Askary, CEO and Head of Community Dentistry at FJDC, Dr Tasleem Hosein, Principal of FJDC, Dr Sabiha Mirza, Vice Principal (Pre-Clinical Campus) and Head of Pathology, Dr Babur Ashraf, Vice Principal (Clinical Campus) and Head of Orthodontics, and Dr Gulrukh Askary, Director of Academics and Head of Oral Pathology, also attended the event among others.
Speaking at the gala dinner, Dr Askary said, “Tonight, we celebrate the successful completion of the Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine and the remarkable efforts of the entire team. I congratulate the participants for their dedication throughout this intensive programme and extend my deepest appreciation to our esteemed speakers.
“The success of this programme is a reflection of the high standards we’ve set for future courses and for aesthetic medicine in Pakistan. This evening embodies our shared mission to advance healthcare and raise industry benchmarks,” he said.
During the diploma, the participants engaged in practical, hands-on training with real patients, guided by seasoned professionals. The gala dinner provided an opportunity for participants and trainers to exchange insights and reflect on their journey.
Dr Kassem’s sessions, in particular, offered the participants the rare chance to learn from a globally acclaimed surgeon known for his precision and innovative techniques.
